I think writing about systems like this, that are just boring work is really underrated. A disproportionate number of posts and talks I read are about systems using hot technologies. ^boring-technology
I think it's unfortunate that you don't get to hear about the downsides of systems without backchannel chatter, so here are things I did that are pretty obvious mistakes in retrospect. I'll add to this when something else becomes obvious in retrospect. ^stuff-i-screwed-up-evergreen
