thoughts on Symphony Spec and Gas Town 2026-03

^ thoughts on Symphony spec and Gas Town

The thing that really makes gas town impressive is the proof that it works at scale. The performance benchmark -- Towers of Hanoi. That's how you know its myriad components actually work together effectively.

Is the difference here the difference between the dim - multi-agent scale -- several concurrent and dim - multi-agent scale -- lots?

Is that the distinction between diff - software factory vs. dark software factory, if there is one?

Symphony pulls from linear, which is kinda cool, but really an issue tracker doesn't feel like the right place for app specification. I like that in Gas Town it feels like Beads is where the tactical persistence happens, rather than the strategic definition of work. I think, but will know more as I read about it further.

Does Symphony do something like link not tracked

The Symphony spec makes me think about how I thought the specification was best as documentation context graph, but this one long doc seems to work well, too

modularity in app specification files
